Professional gazebos engineered for Kansas wind and ground conditions.

Scope of Work & What's Included

Our approach to gazebos in Gridley and surrounding counties covers every detail from initial property measurement and underground utility clearance through laser alignment and site cleanup:

Custom gazebo site layout, yard grade transit measurement, and Kansas 811 utility clearance
Hydraulic augering of 36 to 42-inch concrete pier footings or anchor placement on concrete pads
Heavy 4x4 or 6x6 treated pine or Western Red Cedar timber posts with Simpson standoff anchors
Engineered octagonal or hip roof framing with tongue-and-groove decking and metal roofing
Optional perimeter screen-in packages, aluminum screen doors, and integrated bench seating
Complete job site cleanup, magnetic fastener sweep, and final structural owner walkthrough

Kansas Ground & Weather Considerations

Lightweight kit gazebos purchased from big-box retailers regularly buckle under Kansas thunderstorm gusts, tearing anchor screws out of concrete and blowing across neighbor yards. Unscreened backyard seating quickly becomes unusable during peak summer mosquito hours. Our heavy-timber engineered gazebos provide permanent, storm-anchored shade and insect-free outdoor relaxation.

Our Proven Installation & Build Process

1
1. Site & Foundation Assessment: We measure yard setbacks, evaluate concrete pad conditions, and clear underground utilities via Kansas 811.
2
2. Pier Footing Excavation: Augering 36 to 42-inch deep holes to anchor structural corner posts below the winter frost line.
3
3. Post Setting & Framing: Anchoring 6x6 posts to concrete with galvanized structural brackets and installing heavy top ring beams.
4
4. Roof Truss & Rafter Framing: Assembling hip or octagonal rafter systems secured with hurricane ties and structural timber screws.
5
5. Roof Sheathing & Infill: Installing tongue-and-groove pine ceilings, drip edges, and architectural shingles or standing-seam metal.
6
6. Screen Package & Cleanup: Fitting tight insect screens and self-closing doors if requested, followed by complete magnetic site sweep.

Cost Factors & Pricing

Gazebo building costs in East-Central Kansas depend on footprint size (e.g., 10x10 square vs. 14-foot octagon), foundation requirements (existing slab vs. fresh concrete piers), wood species (treated pine vs. cedar), and screening or electrical additions.

Permits & Utility Locates

Detached backyard accessory structures over 120–200 square feet require zoning setback compliance and municipal permits in Burlington and Emporia, engineered for 115 mph wind ratings and regional snow loads.

Why Property Owners Choose Kraft Fencing

Founded in 2022 by Brandon Kraft, Kraft Fencing, LLC builds backyard pavilions that stand solid through severe Kansas weather. We anchor every post deep and frame with true structural timber rather than flimsy thin-wall tubing, backed by 58 verified reviews.

Kansas Communities Served for Gazebos

Our Gridley-based crews provide on-site consultations, underground Kansas 811 utility mark coordination, and complete gazebos across East-Central Kansas:

Coffey County, KS: Our home county: John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake (Wolf Creek's cooling lake) and Neosho River bottoms mean many fence lines sit on wet, flood-prone ground.
Burlington, KS: Coffey County seat on the Neosho River just below John Redmond Dam; older homes on low ground near the river need posts set for wet soils.
Yates Center, KS: Woodson County seat with a historic courthouse square; aging homes in town and surrounding cattle pasture mean wood privacy repairs inside town and barbed-wire rebuilds outside.
Lebo, KS: Lebo, just off I-35 in northern Coffey County near Melvern Lake, has commuter homes plus farmsteads where split-rail and chain-link line the highway frontage.
Madison, KS: Madison, at the Greenwood County line west of Gridley, is gateway Flint Hills ranch country where pipe fence, barbed wire and corral work dominate.
Olpe, KS: Olpe, south of Emporia on K-99, is surrounded by row-crop and cattle ground; farmstead pens and livestock lots drive woven-wire and pipe fence work.
LeRoy, KS: LeRoy sits in a Neosho River bend southeast of Gridley; small-town lots back onto cropland, so chain-link and woven-wire pet and garden fences are common.
New Strawn, KS: New Strawn was built after the old Strawn townsite was flooded for John Redmond Reservoir; its newer homes sit near Coffey County Lake and Wolf Creek.
Hartford, KS: Hartford borders the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge at John Redmond's upper end; refuge-edge farms need deer-resistant garden fence and flood-ready posts.
Neosho Rapids, KS: Neosho Rapids sits on the Neosho River between Emporia and Hartford; river-bottom farms see flood debris load fences, so H-braces and steel posts hold up best.

“Brandon with Kraft Fencing went above and beyond to repair my fence that had been broken due to poor design by another company. He answered my call and gave me a quote within a day and was out here two days later. Brandon worked very hard in the hottest part of the day to make sure everything was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a fence built or repaired. Thank you Kraft Fencing.”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Gage! Please let us know if you need anything in the future!”

“Casey and Roman Kraft did a cedar fence rebuild for my wife and I in December of '25. Our original fence was over 20 years old and in bad need of replacement. Casey came to my house on a Sunday to measure the property and discuss our plans. He got us the bid that evening. His price was extremely competitive and his reviews online were stellar. The days Kraft Fencing committed to build were the 2 rainiest days in December. There were flash flood warnings posted on both of those days and still, Casey and Roman showed up and went to work. I felt bad but they had top notch rain gear and smiles on their faces. They and their crew showed up at 7:30am both days and just got after the job. The craftsmanship is very impressive. They use screws instead of nails, the posts are beefier than the standard 4x4 post, and they use clear cedar in all the wood work except for the posts. The most impressive thing we experiened with Casey and his company was how he and his crew responded to a mistake that was made. He listened to our concern, gave us a few options to rectify the mistake, made sure both my wife and I would be happy with the work around, and then went about his business and made it right (without any additional charge). What a fantastic business he runs and what an ethical guy he is. I give him a 10/10 recommendation if you are looking to get a new fence installed. Brendan H. Great price”

“Kraft fencing did a great job installing our aluminum fence. It was a big job and a difficult yard to fence, as there were multiple changes in elevation. However, the fence looks great, and it was completed quickly. 10/10 recommend”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Christopher! I’m so glad that you are pleased with your fence!”
