Scope of Work & What's Included

Our approach to chain link fence repair in Gridley and surrounding counties covers every detail from initial property measurement and underground utility clearance through laser alignment and site cleanup:

On-site damage inspection, pipe gauge verification, and fence line stability evaluation
Replacing crushed or bent top rail tubing using galvanized swedged sleeves and rail ends
Surgically unweaving torn chain link fabric and weaving in matching galvanized or vinyl mesh
Mechanical re-stretching of slack, bellying fence fabric using heavy-duty pull bars and winches
Extracting and replacing bent line or corner posts set in deep concrete footings below frost depth
Installing heavy-gauge steel tie wires, new bottom tension wire, and completing full site cleanup

Kansas Ground & Weather Considerations

Chain link fencing throughout Coffey County frequently suffers damage from fallen tree limbs that crush top rails, vehicles backing into corner posts, or severe winter snowdrifts that stretch and bow the fabric outward. Slack chain link allows dogs to push underneath and compromises commercial security. Our mechanical restretching and pipe repairs restore crisp, drum-tight containment.

Our Proven Installation & Build Process

1
1. Damage Assessment: We check line post plumb, measure rail tubing diameters, identify mesh gauge, and inspect tension bands and bottom wires.
2
2. Rail & Post Replacement: Removing bent top rails and hydraulically pulling deformed line posts to set new Schedule 40 steel in concrete.
3
3. Fabric Splicing & Weaving: Unthreading damaged wire spirals and weaving in new matching galvanized or black vinyl fabric spirals.
4
4. Mechanical Tensioning: Clamping pull bars to fabric and winching with come-alongs until the diamond mesh is taut and level across the top rail.
5
5. Hardware & Tie Fastening: Securing fabric to top rails and line posts using commercial 9-gauge steel ties every 12 to 14 inches.
6
6. Gate Realignment & Cleanup: Re-hanging bent gate frames on industrial collar hinges, adjusting latch drop forks, and sweeping the work area.

Cost Factors & Pricing

Chain link repair pricing in East-Central Kansas depends on the length of crushed top rail, linear footage of re-stretched mesh, number of damaged posts, and whether post footings need concrete breakout and re-pouring.

Permits & Utility Locates

Like-for-like chain link repairs on existing fence lines do not typically require city permits in Burlington or Emporia, provided original heights and property line easements are respected.

Why Property Owners Choose Kraft Fencing

Founded in 2022 by Brandon Kraft, Kraft Fencing, LLC possesses the heavy stretching tools and mobile pipe-fitting equipment needed to repair chain link properly rather than putting temporary wire patches that pull loose in the next windstorm, backed by 58 verified reviews.

Kansas Communities Served for Chain Link Fence Repair

Our Gridley-based crews provide on-site consultations, underground Kansas 811 utility mark coordination, and complete chain link fence repair across East-Central Kansas:

Coffey County, KS: Our home county: John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake (Wolf Creek's cooling lake) and Neosho River bottoms mean many fence lines sit on wet, flood-prone ground.
Burlington, KS: Coffey County seat on the Neosho River just below John Redmond Dam; older homes on low ground near the river need posts set for wet soils.
Yates Center, KS: Woodson County seat with a historic courthouse square; aging homes in town and surrounding cattle pasture mean wood privacy repairs inside town and barbed-wire rebuilds outside.
Lebo, KS: Lebo, just off I-35 in northern Coffey County near Melvern Lake, has commuter homes plus farmsteads where split-rail and chain-link line the highway frontage.
Madison, KS: Madison, at the Greenwood County line west of Gridley, is gateway Flint Hills ranch country where pipe fence, barbed wire and corral work dominate.
Olpe, KS: Olpe, south of Emporia on K-99, is surrounded by row-crop and cattle ground; farmstead pens and livestock lots drive woven-wire and pipe fence work.
LeRoy, KS: LeRoy sits in a Neosho River bend southeast of Gridley; small-town lots back onto cropland, so chain-link and woven-wire pet and garden fences are common.
New Strawn, KS: New Strawn was built after the old Strawn townsite was flooded for John Redmond Reservoir; its newer homes sit near Coffey County Lake and Wolf Creek.
Hartford, KS: Hartford borders the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge at John Redmond's upper end; refuge-edge farms need deer-resistant garden fence and flood-ready posts.
Neosho Rapids, KS: Neosho Rapids sits on the Neosho River between Emporia and Hartford; river-bottom farms see flood debris load fences, so H-braces and steel posts hold up best.

“Brandon with Kraft Fencing went above and beyond to repair my fence that had been broken due to poor design by another company. He answered my call and gave me a quote within a day and was out here two days later. Brandon worked very hard in the hottest part of the day to make sure everything was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a fence built or repaired. Thank you Kraft Fencing.”

“Casey and Roman Kraft did a cedar fence rebuild for my wife and I in December of '25. Our original fence was over 20 years old and in bad need of replacement. Casey came to my house on a Sunday to measure the property and discuss our plans. He got us the bid that evening. His price was extremely competitive and his reviews online were stellar. The days Kraft Fencing committed to build were the 2 rainiest days in December. There were flash flood warnings posted on both of those days and still, Casey and Roman showed up and went to work. I felt bad but they had top notch rain gear and smiles on their faces. They and their crew showed up at 7:30am both days and just got after the job. The craftsmanship is very impressive. They use screws instead of nails, the posts are beefier than the standard 4x4 post, and they use clear cedar in all the wood work except for the posts. The most impressive thing we experiened with Casey and his company was how he and his crew responded to a mistake that was made. He listened to our concern, gave us a few options to rectify the mistake, made sure both my wife and I would be happy with the work around, and then went about his business and made it right (without any additional charge). What a fantastic business he runs and what an ethical guy he is. I give him a 10/10 recommendation if you are looking to get a new fence installed. Brendan H. Great price”

“Kraft fencing did a great job installing our aluminum fence. It was a big job and a difficult yard to fence, as there were multiple changes in elevation. However, the fence looks great, and it was completed quickly. 10/10 recommend”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Christopher! I’m so glad that you are pleased with your fence!”
