Professional pool fence engineered for Kansas wind and ground conditions.

Scope of Work & What's Included

Our approach to pool fence in Gridley and surrounding counties covers every detail from initial property measurement and underground utility clearance through laser alignment and site cleanup:

Precision pool perimeter layout, property line setback checks, and Kansas 811 utility clearance
Commercial-grade powder-coated aluminum or virgin vinyl panels with 4-inch max picket spacing
Structural line and gate posts augered 36 to 42 inches deep and set in high-strength concrete
Outward-swinging self-closing gates equipped with magnetic MagnaLatch safety hardware at 54-inch height
Ground clearance calibration maintained under 2 inches to prevent child and pet crawl-unders
Thorough magnetic hardware sweep, latch tension calibration, and final safety inspection

Kansas Ground & Weather Considerations

Non-compliant pool enclosures in Coffey County frequently fail insurance inspections due to warped gates that fail to latch, rusting iron pickets corroded by pool chemicals, or loose posts shifted by winter freeze-thaw cycles. A gate that sticks open or a barrier with climbable cross-rails creates immediate drowning hazards and legal liability. Our engineered pool fences ensure permanent self-latching safety.

Our Proven Installation & Build Process

1
1. Safety Code & Setback Audit: We verify pool water line clearances, property easements, and local municipal swimming pool barrier ordinances.
2
2. Deep Post Hole Augering: Drilling 36 to 42-inch deep holes to ensure post footings sit safely below the frost line and cannot heave or bind gate latches.
3
3. Post Setting & Alignment: Anchoring heavy-wall aluminum or steel posts in bell-bottom concrete footings, leveled with precision laser transits.
4
4. Safety Panel Installation: Securing smooth-top, non-climbable fence sections with tamper-resistant stainless steel fasteners and 4-inch maximum picket gaps.
5
5. Self-Closing Gate Calibration: Hanging outward-swinging gates on heavy-duty adjustable tension hinges paired with key-lockable magnetic MagnaLatches.
6
6. Safety Audit & Walkthrough: Testing gate swing from multiple angles, inspecting ground gaps, sweeping job site, and providing owner safety documentation.

Cost Factors & Pricing

Pool fence costs in East-Central Kansas depend on total perimeter footage, chosen material (marine-grade aluminum vs. solid privacy vinyl), fence height (48 or 54-inch standard), terrain grading around pool decking, and number of self-closing access gates. We provide detailed, itemized quotes before installation.

Permits & Utility Locates

Our pool safety enclosures are engineered to meet International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) barrier guidelines, Coffey County residential safety standards, and local city building permits in Burlington and Emporia, requiring outward-swinging self-latching gates and 54-inch latch heights.

Why Property Owners Choose Kraft Fencing

Founded in 2022 by Brandon Kraft, Kraft Fencing, LLC takes swimming pool barrier safety seriously. We never cut corners on latch hardware or post depth, ensuring your pool gate latches reliably through freezing winters and humid Kansas summers, backed by our 4.9-star rating across 58 reviews.

Kansas Communities Served for Pool Fence

Our Gridley-based crews provide on-site consultations, underground Kansas 811 utility mark coordination, and complete pool fence across East-Central Kansas:

Coffey County, KS: Our home county: John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake (Wolf Creek's cooling lake) and Neosho River bottoms mean many fence lines sit on wet, flood-prone ground.
Burlington, KS: Coffey County seat on the Neosho River just below John Redmond Dam; older homes on low ground near the river need posts set for wet soils.
Yates Center, KS: Woodson County seat with a historic courthouse square; aging homes in town and surrounding cattle pasture mean wood privacy repairs inside town and barbed-wire rebuilds outside.
Lebo, KS: Lebo, just off I-35 in northern Coffey County near Melvern Lake, has commuter homes plus farmsteads where split-rail and chain-link line the highway frontage.
Madison, KS: Madison, at the Greenwood County line west of Gridley, is gateway Flint Hills ranch country where pipe fence, barbed wire and corral work dominate.
Olpe, KS: Olpe, south of Emporia on K-99, is surrounded by row-crop and cattle ground; farmstead pens and livestock lots drive woven-wire and pipe fence work.
LeRoy, KS: LeRoy sits in a Neosho River bend southeast of Gridley; small-town lots back onto cropland, so chain-link and woven-wire pet and garden fences are common.
New Strawn, KS: New Strawn was built after the old Strawn townsite was flooded for John Redmond Reservoir; its newer homes sit near Coffey County Lake and Wolf Creek.
Hartford, KS: Hartford borders the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge at John Redmond's upper end; refuge-edge farms need deer-resistant garden fence and flood-ready posts.
Neosho Rapids, KS: Neosho Rapids sits on the Neosho River between Emporia and Hartford; river-bottom farms see flood debris load fences, so H-braces and steel posts hold up best.

“Brandon with Kraft Fencing went above and beyond to repair my fence that had been broken due to poor design by another company. He answered my call and gave me a quote within a day and was out here two days later. Brandon worked very hard in the hottest part of the day to make sure everything was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a fence built or repaired. Thank you Kraft Fencing.”

“Casey and Roman Kraft did a cedar fence rebuild for my wife and I in December of '25. Our original fence was over 20 years old and in bad need of replacement. Casey came to my house on a Sunday to measure the property and discuss our plans. He got us the bid that evening. His price was extremely competitive and his reviews online were stellar. The days Kraft Fencing committed to build were the 2 rainiest days in December. There were flash flood warnings posted on both of those days and still, Casey and Roman showed up and went to work. I felt bad but they had top notch rain gear and smiles on their faces. They and their crew showed up at 7:30am both days and just got after the job. The craftsmanship is very impressive. They use screws instead of nails, the posts are beefier than the standard 4x4 post, and they use clear cedar in all the wood work except for the posts. The most impressive thing we experiened with Casey and his company was how he and his crew responded to a mistake that was made. He listened to our concern, gave us a few options to rectify the mistake, made sure both my wife and I would be happy with the work around, and then went about his business and made it right (without any additional charge). What a fantastic business he runs and what an ethical guy he is. I give him a 10/10 recommendation if you are looking to get a new fence installed. Brendan H. Great price”

“Kraft fencing did a great job installing our aluminum fence. It was a big job and a difficult yard to fence, as there were multiple changes in elevation. However, the fence looks great, and it was completed quickly. 10/10 recommend”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Christopher! I’m so glad that you are pleased with your fence!”
