Scope of Work & What's Included

Our approach to security fencing in Gridley and surrounding counties covers every detail from initial property measurement and underground utility clearance through laser alignment and site cleanup:

Perimeter site survey, security threat assessment, and Kansas 811 underground utility clearance
Heavy-duty 9-gauge galvanized or black vinyl-coated chain link fabric in 6-foot, 7-foot, or 8-foot heights
Industrial Schedule 40 steel terminal, corner, and line posts set 36 to 48 inches deep in high-strength concrete
3-strand 4-point barbed wire outriggers or razor ribbon security toppers mounted on 45-degree arms
Continuous Schedule 40 bottom pipe rail or 7-gauge coil spring tension wire preventing bottom lift
Commercial cantilever slide and swing gates equipped with lock boxes and automated operator systems

Kansas Ground & Weather Considerations

Unsecured equipment lots and remote oilfield assets across Coffey, Lyon, and Greenwood counties face persistent risks of equipment theft, vandalism, and unauthorized public entry. Flimsy residential wire and unanchored gates allow intruders to crawl under or climb over within seconds, creating massive property loss and liability. Our heavy commercial security fencing stops intrusions cold.

Our Proven Installation & Build Process

1
1. Site Threat & Perimeter Layout: We evaluate access points, sightlines, security requirements, and clear underground utility easements via Kansas 811.
2
2. Deep Industrial Post Augering: Drilling 36 to 48-inch deep holes using heavy hydraulic augers to bypass shifting clay and bedrock.
3
3. Schedule 40 Post Anchoring: Sinking heavy-wall galvanized steel posts in deep concrete footings engineered to handle heavy commercial gates and wind loads.
4
4. Framework & Bottom Rail Assembly: Mounting Schedule 40 top rails, mid-rails, and rigid bottom rails or tensioned 7-gauge coil spring wire.
5
5. Chain Link Tensioning & Barbed Outriggers: Stretching 9-gauge fabric drum-tight with mechanical pullers and installing 3 strands of barbed wire.
6
6. Cantilever Gate Fitting & Commissioning: Installing heavy-duty cantilever slide gates, testing automated operators and safety eyes, and full site cleanup.

Cost Factors & Pricing

Commercial security fencing investments in East-Central Kansas are determined by fence height (6 to 8 feet), wire gauge (standard 9-ga vs. heavy 6-ga), top security barbed wire additions, ground conditions (clay vs. Flint Hills limestone), and gate automation equipment. We provide detailed commercial bids.

Permits & Utility Locates

Commercial installations comply with Coffey County zoning ordinances, OSHA safety clearance standards around utility substations, Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) oilfield containment rules, and local city commercial building codes.

Founded in 2022 by Brandon Kraft, Kraft Fencing, LLC understands the rugged security demands of rural Kansas businesses and energy producers. We build true commercial-grade barriers using heavy Schedule 40 steel that withstands equipment abuse and high plains winds, backed by 58 verified reviews.

Kansas Communities Served for Security Fencing

Our Gridley-based crews provide on-site consultations, underground Kansas 811 utility mark coordination, and complete security fencing across East-Central Kansas:

Coffey County, KS: Our home county: John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake (Wolf Creek's cooling lake) and Neosho River bottoms mean many fence lines sit on wet, flood-prone ground.
Burlington, KS: Coffey County seat on the Neosho River just below John Redmond Dam; older homes on low ground near the river need posts set for wet soils.
Yates Center, KS: Woodson County seat with a historic courthouse square; aging homes in town and surrounding cattle pasture mean wood privacy repairs inside town and barbed-wire rebuilds outside.
Lebo, KS: Lebo, just off I-35 in northern Coffey County near Melvern Lake, has commuter homes plus farmsteads where split-rail and chain-link line the highway frontage.
Madison, KS: Madison, at the Greenwood County line west of Gridley, is gateway Flint Hills ranch country where pipe fence, barbed wire and corral work dominate.
Olpe, KS: Olpe, south of Emporia on K-99, is surrounded by row-crop and cattle ground; farmstead pens and livestock lots drive woven-wire and pipe fence work.
LeRoy, KS: LeRoy sits in a Neosho River bend southeast of Gridley; small-town lots back onto cropland, so chain-link and woven-wire pet and garden fences are common.
New Strawn, KS: New Strawn was built after the old Strawn townsite was flooded for John Redmond Reservoir; its newer homes sit near Coffey County Lake and Wolf Creek.
Hartford, KS: Hartford borders the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge at John Redmond's upper end; refuge-edge farms need deer-resistant garden fence and flood-ready posts.
Neosho Rapids, KS: Neosho Rapids sits on the Neosho River between Emporia and Hartford; river-bottom farms see flood debris load fences, so H-braces and steel posts hold up best.

“Brandon with Kraft Fencing went above and beyond to repair my fence that had been broken due to poor design by another company. He answered my call and gave me a quote within a day and was out here two days later. Brandon worked very hard in the hottest part of the day to make sure everything was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a fence built or repaired. Thank you Kraft Fencing.”

“Casey and Roman Kraft did a cedar fence rebuild for my wife and I in December of '25. Our original fence was over 20 years old and in bad need of replacement. Casey came to my house on a Sunday to measure the property and discuss our plans. He got us the bid that evening. His price was extremely competitive and his reviews online were stellar. The days Kraft Fencing committed to build were the 2 rainiest days in December. There were flash flood warnings posted on both of those days and still, Casey and Roman showed up and went to work. I felt bad but they had top notch rain gear and smiles on their faces. They and their crew showed up at 7:30am both days and just got after the job. The craftsmanship is very impressive. They use screws instead of nails, the posts are beefier than the standard 4x4 post, and they use clear cedar in all the wood work except for the posts. The most impressive thing we experiened with Casey and his company was how he and his crew responded to a mistake that was made. He listened to our concern, gave us a few options to rectify the mistake, made sure both my wife and I would be happy with the work around, and then went about his business and made it right (without any additional charge). What a fantastic business he runs and what an ethical guy he is. I give him a 10/10 recommendation if you are looking to get a new fence installed. Brendan H. Great price”

“Kraft fencing did a great job installing our aluminum fence. It was a big job and a difficult yard to fence, as there were multiple changes in elevation. However, the fence looks great, and it was completed quickly. 10/10 recommend”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Christopher! I’m so glad that you are pleased with your fence!”
